Overhead Valve Motors (OHV = OverHead Valve)
As the name suggests, in valves on the head (OHV) the valves are located above the combustion chamber in the cylinder head pavilion. The arrangement of the valves on the head allows for a more regular aspiration of the fuel mixture, in addition to a more complete and quick discharge. This increased combustion efficiency, in turn, allows the use of a higher compression ratio. In this way, it is possible to achieve greater efficiency and avoid carbon concentration.
